About the Item

Realized by Manet in 1870/1874, this famous subject was printed in an apparently unique lifetime proof, as stated in Harris' Catalog. It was then printed in two posthumous edition, of 1894 by Dumont and in 1904 by Strolin. This specimen belongs to the Dumont edition and shows a really beautiful impression and an intact, full margins sheet. Signed in the plate lower left. Ref.
