About the Item
An extremely rare limited edition print by this famous (and infamous) performance art duo. The Kipper Kids were a duo composed of Martin Rochus Sebastian von Haselberg (born 20 January 1949) and Brian Routh (9 March 1948 – 3 August 2018), two artists known for the extreme and often comedic performance art they made together in the 1970s and after. Von Haselberg lives and works in New York, U.S.; and Routh was living in Leicester, England, at the time of his death. From 1971, the duo were also known as Harry and Harry Kipper.
Each print comes from an exclusive edition of 35, with 4 A/Ps.
Printed by Master Printer Jack Duganne in his Santa Monica atelier during the height of his fame as a printer. These serigraphs were printed on canvas using neon inks and a final run of velvet flocking - unheard of or even imagined before Jack made it possible to use it as a process for printing.
