Isabella Collodi was born in Rome on 19 October 1957.
In 1988 he exhibited for the first time as part of a survey of young
artists organized by the Municipality of Rome. In 1994 he won the prize for engraving in the eighteenth Biennale of Alexandria.
Wrote of his work several historians and art critics, including F. Castro, A. Gerbino, G. Giuffre, M. Pisani, S. Severi, G. Simongini, L. Tricks.
Isabella lives and works in Rome.
In 1982 Isabella Collodi graduated in psychology from the University of Rome, in the same year she began her formal career as an artist. From 1982 to 1983 she trained under Lorenzo Bruno in whose studio she mastered the principal techniques of engraving, specifically the acquaforte. Since the early 1980's Isabella has developed a strong working rapport with other mediums, in 1984 importantly and persistently with etching and in 1987 with painting. Isabella from the on set has continued to explore and develop ideas that have been described as appearing in her work as a magical microcosm.
(In the catalog for the exhibition Isabella Collodi, Mixed Media at Galleria Elle Arte, Palermo 2000, Bruno Caruso described Collodi's work as conveying a "magical microcosm".)

Knox Martin (1923-2022) was an esteemed New York School painter.
Knox Martin was born in 1923 in Barranquilla, Colombia. He was the son of the aviator, painter, and poet William Knox Martin, the first man to fly over the Andes mountains.
After serving in World War II, Knox Martin attended the Art Students League of New York on the G.I. Bill from 1946-1950, where he studied with Harry Sternberg, Vaclav Vytlacil, Will Barnet, and Morris Kantor.
In 1954, Knox Martin's friend Franz Kline placed a painting of his in the Stable Gallery Annual.
Charles Egan of the renowned Charles Egan Gallery saw Knox Martin's painting at the Stable Gallery and asked Martin to show his work in a one-man show for the tenth anniversary of the Egan Gallery.
