Excerpted from the album (translated from French), In an unpublished translation of Randal Lemoine, these poems of Federico García Lorca are illustrated with five imprints engraved by Pablo Picasso and of compositions in color and in wash engraved on wood. Justification of the draw: A unique example on Japon Nacré, with an original color drawing of an off-text appearing in the folio, as well as a parchment test of one of the original five impressions; A example of d'éditeur on Japon Nacré with a 23 carats ayant servi used to draw the original imprint on the cover, as well as a parchment proof of one of the original five impressions. Four examples on Japon Nacré with a carats ayant servi used to print one of the five original prints—all these examples are accompanied by three suites of the woods in off-text color drawn on silk, on hand paper from the Moulin Richard de Bas and on Grand Vélin d'Arches, a suite of all the in-texted woods on Japon Impérial, as well as two suites of the five original prints on tissu Harpagon vieil and on colored Japon Nacré, lettered from A to D. Thirty examples on papier à la main du Moulin Richard de Bas with three suites of the woods in color off-text drawn on silk, on Japan Pearly and on Grand Vélin d'Arches, a suite of all the woods in-text on Japan Imperial, a suite of the five original prints on tissu Harpagon vieil, as well as a proof of an original imprint on Japon Nacré in color, numbered from 1 to 30. Fifty examples on Grand Vélin d'Arches with a sequence of woods in off-text color drawn on papier à la main du Moulin Richard de Bas, as well as a test of an original imprint on Japon Nacré in color, numbered from 31 to 80; 220 examples on Grand Vélin d'Arches with the final status of the illustrations, numbered from 81 to 300. All examples are signed by l'Éditeur and endorsed by the Ministère d'Huissier de Justice. PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973) Spanish painter and sculptor is one of the most recognized figures of twentieth century art. During his artistic career, which lasted more than 75 years, he created thousands of works using all kinds of mediums. He changed art more profoundly than any other artist of his time. First famous for pioneering cubism, Picasso continued to develop his art with a pace and vitality comparable to the accelerated technological and cultural changes of the twentieth century. Each change embodied a radical idea, and might be said that Picasso lived several artistic lifetimes.
