Beautiful modernist figurative abstract with birds, a large scale vertical dual panel original serigraph, "Golden Haven I, and "Golden Haven II", by Phil Paradise, (American, 1905-1997).
Edition 47. Unsigned. Title and edition number on verso. Displayed in a light beige mat and distressed painted wood frame. Image size: 62"H x 19"W.
Phil Paradise was a printmaker, illustrator, and teacher. Born in 1905 in Oregon, he was raised in Bakersfield, California, and attended the Chouinard Art Institute, and studied with F. Tolles Chamberlin, Leon Kroll, and Rico Lebrun. His works were influenced by his travels to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. He taught both at Chouinard Art Institute and Scripps's College, and in the 1940's set up his studio in Cambria, and began producing Cubist themed serigraph prints. His works were shown at the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Modern Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He died in 1997.

Unique mid century modern abstract limited edition serigraph titled "Poor Butterfly" by Madrid-based artist Mil Lubroth (American, 1925-2004).
