Engraved and published in London 1762. Beautifully hand-colored and with interesting topographical and historical details, including "New South Wales", "James Bay", "Labrador", "New Britain", "Adirondaks", "New Found Land", "Great Bay of the Esquinmaux", the Grand Banks and more. The insert shows a chart Mississippi River from New Orleans to the Gulf of Mexico. Thomas Kitchin (1718–1784) was an important English engraver and cartographer, who became hydrographer to the king.
