About the Item
Signed and numbered in pencil in lower right hand margin. Proposed edition of 1000 (edition never completed).
This print is an interesting piece of history, as the United States Olympic Committee brought an injunction that stopped the use of the word Olympic in any materials for the first Gay Games. However, the injunction was not served until 19 days before the event when many materials had already been produced. There is another version of this poster with the word Olympic blocked out. The case eventually went all the way to U.S Supreme Court.
