His series "Room" or "My carnival" evokes the fantasy of the mistress, fetishist eroticism, 5 to 7, free fantasy. Eric produces erotic art without ever biting into porn-chic always being more obsessed with aesthetics than with simulacrum. If he worships more than one of these predecessors who poured into more outrage, it is freely that he suggests to the imagination to imagine without capturing the fantasy of the viewer.
The choice had been made of very high quality prints: cotton fiber base baryta paper without chlorine and high grammage (310 gr / m²), pigment inks. They carry on the back an authentication label signed by Eric Ceccarini
The enhancement of this limited edition of 100 copies is ensured by the use of a unique high-quality box to keep the 12 fine art prints
This is edition #1/100
Eric is a Belgian artist born in 1965. He gained a Degree in Photography from INFAC, Brussels in 1987. Since then he has been a fashion photographer working with many of the top houses. Elle, Marie-Claire, L'Oréal, Levi's, Coca Cola, Virgin, Saab, Delvaux, Lowe Lintas and Ogilvy are some of his clients.
Among other distinctions, his photography for the Saab cabrio 9-3 campaign was awarded the Silver Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.
Eric is set apart from many of his colleagues by his way of shunning technical artifice and working in natural light. This results in soft, velvety, almost painterly images.
Nowadays in his artistic works, he captures women's essence and soul, transcending mere physical representation.
Eric's "AMNIOS" series of soul portraits- the model appear in suspended animation, as if they were about to born, and full of hidden secrets. This
represents a new conceptual departure for Eric, who began as a fashion photographer, moving on to classic artistic nudes...

About Raymond Pettibon (Americanb. 1957)
Raymond Pettibon is a contemporary American artist known for his stylized ink drawings combining images and text. His inventive narratives blend historical content with consumer culture to yield incisive critiques of contemporary society. “I was making my work as transparent as possible, without equivocations, without calling attention to itself, without apology,” he explained. “There's a lot of conventions in the art world that are not to be transgressed, but my economy of means doesn't abide by those strictures.” Born Raymond Ginn on June 16, 1957 in Tucson, AZ, the artist is self-taught, but cites drawings by William Blake, Edward Hopper, Francisco Goya, and John Sloan as instructive to his practice. Deriving inspiration from comics, cartoons, and other pop culture iconography, Pettibon began designing album covers and ephemera for his brother’s band Black Flag in the mid-1970s. He went on to produce cover art for Sonic Youth, the Minutemen...

Provenance: one owner ever - private collection - Chicago, IL; acquired from van Straaten Gallery, Chicago, IL in 1979, retaining their original gallery label. This work is also sometimes referred to as "Nude with Rose". Printed in thirty-four colors. Styria Studio chop mark/blind stamp lower right. Multiples Inc. chop mark/blind stamp lower left. Rives BFK watermark lower left. Some pencil inscribed reference numbers on verso.
Our example here is in mint condition with strong colors as the day it was printed having been previously archivally framed and properly stored. For reasons unknown, most all examples of "Nude (Lithograph)" that appear today, their colors have greatly attenuated (faded) over the past 45 years. Also, the printer and publisher of this edition are almost always incorrectly defined backwards, as Styria Studios as the publisher and Multiples Inc. as the printer.
William (Bill) van Straaten (1937-2013) founded van Straaten Gallery in Chicago in 1969, a contemporary art gallery with an international reputation. He served as president of the Chicago Art Dealers Association. He ran the gallery at 646 North Michigan Avenue for 33 years until 2002. In 2003, van Straaten moved his operations to Steamboat Springs, Colorado establishing Riverhouse Editions, a fine art publisher. In 2008, van Straaten moved to Denver and acquired the Sandy Carson Gallery on Santa Fe Drive, which operated as the van Straaten Gallery for five final years before closing in 2012.

Biography:
Félix Bracquemond was born in Paris. He was trained in early youth as a trade lithographer, until Guichard, a pupil of Ingres, took him to his studio. His portrait of his grandmother, painted by him at the age of nineteen, attracted Théophile Gautier's attention at the Salon. He applied himself to engraving and etching about 1853, and played a leading and brilliant part in the revival of the etcher's art in France. Altogether he produced over eight hundred plates, comprising portraits, landscapes, scenes of contemporary life, and bird-studies, besides numerous interpretations of other artist's paintings, especially those of Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier, Gustave Moreau and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. After having been attached to the Sèvres porcelain factory in 1870, he accepted a post as art manager of the Paris atelier of the firm of Haviland of Limoges. He was connected by a link of firm friendship with Édouard Manet, James McNeill Whistler, and all the other fighters in the impressionist cause, and received all the honors that await the successful artist in France, including the grade of Officer of the Legion of Honor in 1889.
Bracquemond was a prominent figure in artistic and literary circles in the second half of the 19th century. He was close to writers such as Edmond de Goncourt and critic Gustave Geffroy, and numbered among his friends Millet and Corot, Henri Fantin-Latour, Degas and the Impressionist circle, and Auguste Rodin. He was one of the more prolific printmakers of his time and he was awarded the grande medaille d'honneur at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
