ABOUT THIS PIECE: Peonies was created as a special collaboration with domino Magazine. Kate's New York apartment was featured in the Spring 2016 issue of domino. She created Peonies for her living room and our gallery produced a limited edition print to celebrate Kate and the issue. ABOUT THIS ARTIST: Kate Schelter is a New York City based illustrator, creative director and stylist—owner of the luxury brand consultancy that bears her name—who is always armed with palette, paper and brushes on her travels. Taking a cue from her styling work, she is attracted to subject matters that she admires in real life and that she owns, like a red lipstick or an old pair of shoes, as well as objects found in nature. Kate illustrated the book Gypset Travel (Assouline 2013). She paints commercial work for Vanity Fair, TOMS, One Kings Lane, Bonpoint, GRAFF, Romy & the Bunnies, BVLGARI, Victoria’s Secret, Architectural Digest, and Toyota, as well as private commissions. Original works are available at John Derian Company. Kate holds a BA from Rhode Island School of Design and their European Honors Program in Rome, and lives with her husband Chris Schumacher, their daughter Charlotte, and their tiny dog, Bear. PACKAGING: 30x40" and 40x60" prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Framed 30x40" prints are shipped via FedEx in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame. We do not frame the extra large, 40x60" print sizes because they are too large to ship without risking damage. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We ship unframed prints internationally via DHL. The international shipping cost does not include the tax & duties, which will be the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time.
