Antoine LePerlier (b. 1953) is a celebrated French glass artist renowned for his mastery of pâte de verre, an ancient glass technique revived and elevated through his work. LePerlier is the grandson of François Décorchemont, one of the pioneers of pâte de verre, and he continues this esteemed lineage by pushing the boundaries of the medium. 'Vase Ultime' (1996) is a striking example of LePerlier’s ability to transform glass into an expressive narrative, exploring themes of time, fragility, and permanence. His work draws comparisons to renowned glass innovators such as Emile Gallé, René Lalique, and Dale Chihuly, whose approaches to glass similarly blend tradition with experimentation. This one-of-a-kind sculpture represents a rare opportunity to acquire a piece by a master of contemporary glass, further enhanced by its provenance and impeccable craftsmanship.
