“O-Flier” is one of the more dynamic works to spring from the inspiration Richard MacDonald has found in the creative choreography and the artistic physicality of the extraordinary performers of Cirque du Soleil. This is a work to stir the imagination, as the finely observed anatomy underscores the performer’s humanity, her uncommon abilities place her outside the realm of our own experience, and she becomes exotic – otherworldly and mysterious.
