About the Item
This statue is handcrafted by lost wax process which is one of the ancient process of metal craft. Kubera is seated in easy pose with one hand holding a jewel and another a mongoose. Kubera is also known as Jambala or Vaishravana, the deity of wealth. He has a protruding belly who wears five lobed crown and serpent jewelry. 24K real gold plating is done on copper body. Turquoise is used on ornament.
A long process is required to make a statue complete unlike mass production. It is made by artisans of Patan, Nepal where skill is passed down for generations. A booklet on procedure of making a statue comes with the purchase.
