Created by San Jose based glass artist, Treg Silkwood, the "Golden Nautilus" is an intricate sculpture of a seashell created entirely out of glass. Using layers of ochre (Gold) and white pigment, Treg masterfully captures the intricate shell details typically found on a nautilus'. About the Artist:
Treg Silkwood is a glass artist whose career spans over three decades. He is recognized as a premier California Marine Artist and one of the foremost artists working in glass. Taking inspiration from walks along the California coast, Treg’s artwork explores his fascination with the many species of shells and natural objects he’s collected from his excursions. In response to these elegant forms, Treg creates blown glass sculptures that not only enrich his appreciation for the intricate complexities of the natural world but also form a personal connection to a place which he calls home.
Treg has a BFA in glass from Alfred University and studied abroad at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, where he learned Czech mold-making and coldworking techniques. Post graduation, Treg worked as a glass blower recreating Early American Glassware at Greenfield Village, within The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. He was an artist-in-residence at The Corning Museum of Glass in New York and part of the original crew that created The Corning Musuem of Glass Roadshow. "Art belongs everywhere from cruise ships to churches" This has been the mantra of Helen Webber since she began her career in the 1970’s creating hundreds of art works for public spaces throughout the United states and abroad. It was her strongly held belief that art can touch the spirit of many more people than those whose art experiences are limited to the halls and walls of museums and galleries. Her bold and richly hued art works executed in a wide variety of media, such as tapestry, glass, metal wood and clay have been installed in universities, corporations, medical facilities, cruise ships, hotels, religious spaces, community and civic centers and even in a train station. Over the years many architects and interior designers have collaborated with Helen Webber finding that her work enhanced their designed environments, giving her the opportunity to create art for well known corporations as well as multitudes of residences. It is the tapestries that she is best known for, and it is this medium that dominates the largest body of her work, which was first introduced to the design world in the mid 1970's. The tapestries utilize a fabric collage technique combining an array of designer upholstery fabrics such as velvets, brocades, worsteds, jacquards, mohair, hand woven woolens, among many others. Yarns of all kinds are integrated into the tapestries surrounding the edges of each fabric piece.

"Love Wins" is part of Edie Nadelhaft's "Better Living Thru Chemistry: Luv is the Drug" sculpture series consisting of candy-colored glass and mixed media capsule-shaped objects. Each pill is festooned with text messages, social media iconography and the language of pop psychology. Inspired in equal parts by the ubiquitous presence of social media in contemporary culture and the simultaneous rise of direct - to - consumer pharmaceutical marketing. The work pokes fun at the alternately amusing and depressing correlations between the two phenomena as both are enlisted to oversimplify the human condition and expedite contentment through a familiar cocktail of instant gratification and seductive packaging.
Edie Nadelhaft is a New York-based painter and mixed media artist whose work has been widely exhibited at museums, art fairs and galleries. She studied painting and art history at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and S.U.N.Y. Purchase. She received her BFA with Honors from The Massachusetts College of Art & Design.

After finishing her studies, she moved to New York, where she attended the School of Visual Arts 1975 – 1977 and works with Massimo Vignelli as a graphic designer.
she returned to Italy and began her active collaboration with the Venini & C, where she came in contact with many Italian and foreign artists. During this period she used the techniques of Murano to create refined works with unusual colors, perfecting the “vetro mosaico” technique.
Her glassworks have received many prizes and recognitions, and are held by the most important museums of the world.
She collaborated with Venini between 1976 and 1985, during which she designed a range of articles. 1995 Starts collaboration with Simone Cenedese, which continues to this day.

A new middle class began to emerge in Colonial America and a migration into urban areas began. Unlike farmhouses, these new homes were elegant two-store homes designed in the new Georgian style, imitating the lifestyle of the upper middle class of England. The interiors consisted of a passageway down the middle of the house with specialized rooms off the sides, such as a library, dining room, sitting room or a primary bedroom. Unlike the multi-purpose space of the farmhouse, each of these rooms served a separate purpose. This new middle class had leisure time to entertain guests. In this sitting room, the Kupjacks have replicated this stately room with upholstered furniture, a working fireplace, decorative ceramics and silver accent pieces. This miniature room is presented in a custom leather bound case with faux books on either end as if it could be placed in a bookshelf. the room can also be installed in a wall.

"Love Wins" is part of Edie Nadelhaft's "Better Living Thru Chemistry: Luv is the Drug" sculpture series consisting of candy-colored glass and mixed media capsule-shaped objects. Each pill is festooned with text messages, social media iconography and the language of pop psychology. Inspired in equal parts by the ubiquitous presence of social media in contemporary culture and the simultaneous rise of direct - to - consumer pharmaceutical marketing. The work pokes fun at the alternately amusing and depressing correlations between the two phenomena as both are enlisted to oversimplify the human condition and expedite contentment through a familiar cocktail of instant gratification and seductive packaging.
Edie Nadelhaft is a New York-based painter and mixed media artist whose work has been widely exhibited at museums, art fairs and galleries. She studied painting and art history at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and S.U.N.Y. Purchase. She received her BFA with Honors from The Massachusetts College of Art & Design.
