Pebbles
Located in Kansas City, MO
Artist : Sam McPherson Title : Pebbles, wall installation Materials : Ceramic, black porcelain, steel Date : 2019 Dimensions : 32"x 12"x .5" Description : Wall pebbles are installed with a pin on the back of each piece. These can be installed in your space in any arrangement. Shown is a set including 90 pebbles in a geometric design. Each pebble ranges from .5" up to 3". When installing these I recommend they are approximately 1 to 2 inches apart. To discover the unseen hidden beneath or within an object inspires Sam McPherson to share her imagination and fascination of ‘what could be’. McPherson tries to use these ideas in her work to create something that requires the viewer to invest in the piece to see what it has to offer, to reward curiosity, and to those unwilling to stop and look closely to explore and discover, they may never know. Constriction
Located in Kansas City, MO
Artist: Rachel Lauren Title: Constriction Date: 2019 Medium: Inkjet print Dimensions: 14 x 11 in. Photographer Rachel Lauren invites viewers to become more aware of the way natural beauty has been contorted, packed and sold as a cold, manufactured, cloned and empty product. Are women inherently beautiful, or do they require modifications? Are you seeing your uniquely created reflection through a distorted lens? By imposing a juxtaposition between real and fake through abstract portraiture, Lauren calls attention to these complex ideals in "Distorted Beauty". Lauren is currently an MFA candidate at UMKC and based in Colorado. Since the age of two, she has fostered a love for photography and traveling which have both shaped her understanding of the issues she addresses in her work. Contemporary photography, portrait photography, experimental portraiture, conceptual photography, Steve McCurry, Lisa Kristine...

rare NOMA restaurant plates (set of 4)
By Aage and Kasper Wurtz
Located in Morton Grove, IL
A rare opportunity to own handmade plates used in the #1 restaurant of the world- NOMA (Denmark). These have been imported from Copenhagen Denmark and are in Chicago USA. Set of 4 plates made by the Aage and Kasper Würtz, who are an internationally sought-after father and son team of studio ceramists. While their location is Horsens, Denmark, a provincial town on the Jutland mainland, they are becoming known far and wide for their hand-thrown, hand-glazed designs — most notably the crockery they produce for a growing number of New Nordic and other contemporary gourmet restaurants around the world — from Geranium, Noma and Amass in Copenhagen to Törst and Luksus in Brooklyn. Produced under the K.H. Würtz trademark, Würtz ceramics — typically made of stoneware, occasionally of porcelain — possess a leading-edge 21st century aesthetic, yet each piece is created completely by hand, using mostly ancient wheel-turning and glazing methods. Würtz tableware, in particular, exhibits certain signature characteristics, such as an assured inner-outer ratio, a subtle concavity even in the flattest dinner plates, unexpected rims, moody colorations, random flecked and mottled surface effects, and a robust heft that makes each piece a delight to hold in the hand. All in all, the Würtz style is simultaneously contemporary in design and archaic in the crafting. It’s been described as timeless but is also future-oriented in the way it supersedes both heavily floral traditional fine china dinner sets...
