This magnificent antique Italian silver platter has an oval form. The surface of this antique platter is plain and unembellished, accented with a plain applied molded border to the rim. Condition This antique Italian silver platter is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. There are some surface knife scratches to the well of the platter, in keeping with the age and purpose. The hallmarks struck to the underside of the platter's rim are all very clear. Michael Bang (1942-2013) Current And Advanced Glassmaking Art Michael Bang (1942-2013) was the son of Jacob E. Bang, Holmegaard's first designer. In the 1960s and 1970s, Michael Bang was a designer at the Odense Glass Factory, but moved with his family to Holmegaard in the 1980s when he joined the Holmegaard Glass Factory.
