The plain body is encompassed with a cast and applied rosette border to the rim, accented with a leaf decorated corner pieces. The dish is fitted with an impressive domed hexagonal cover, embellished with chased interlacing foliate and trellis designs, all on a matte background to the rounded sides. The upper portion of the domed cover is ornamented with further chased foliate decoration, accented with a paralleling scalloped border.
