This fossil fish mural features a large Diplomystus dentatus, three Knightia eocaena, and two Cockerellites liops in natural, fossil-bearing limestone. This stone’s soft, warm colors are a perfect contrast for the deep color of the fossils. The leg is at least a hundred years old, you can see by the way it is fixed together (the curly iron thread) and the surface ware of the real bones, it is smooth and yellowish.
The iron and wood holder however is probably aded very recently (my guess is in the 80s 90s).
