An exceptional, fine and impressive, set of three antique George III English sterling silver decanter / wine bottle labels; part of our wine related Georgian silverware collection. These exceptional George III sterling silver wine labels have a rectangular shaped form. Each bottle label is embellished with exceptional gadroon ornamentation to the rim, incorporating four scrolling leaf designs. This decoration incorporates a central rectangular cartouche, each engraved with the desirable inscriptions: 'Madeira', 'Claret', and 'Sauterne'. A fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver ‘rum’ decanter label / bottle ticket made in Newcastle; an addition to our wine and drinks silverware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver decanter label / bottle ticket has a subtly convex, plain rectangular cut cornered form. The body is embellished with the engraved inscription ‘RUM' to the center. The antique decanter label is suspended from two ring loops to the upper border connected by a silver belcher style chain. This fine example of Georgian silverware has been crafted by the Newcastle maker Thomas Watson but assayed in London; this was an occasional practice with smaller items of Newcastle silver, where no town mark was struck.
