Laura Federici Abstract Paintings

Italian, b. 1964
"Laura Federici's body of work debates the reality of urban lives and the relations which connect us to the environment showing how space affects our memories, creating a new language of forms and colours. Federici's blissful canvases draw the viewer in whether they depict the elevated highway running through Rome or the courtyards of the mosques in Damascus, effectively gripping our minds. Objects shown in detail or close-ups become anchors to hold on to, lest we get caught in contemporary ‘mobility’ and fall ill with disorientation. They are rafts to get on to, when the fluidity of things make us all strangers, with no space to occupy." Arianna di Genova, critic art.

Artist: Laura Federici
Shadow 09
By Laura Federici
Located in Roma, RM
About the painting: palm trees and shadow on yellow lawn. I often look at a place several times, I paint it starting from short videos that I take with me, after I have spent a few hours, a few days there. Here I am at the Botanical Garden of Rome, thinking of a place I saw in Vietnam, on a trip a few years ago. P.S. it is a work divided into two canvases mounted on a frame, each measuring 130x65. About the artist: Laura Federici is an artist and architect based in Rome, Italy. She has a number of solo: Galleria Andrè (Roma 2011; 2012; 2016; 2019; 2020; 2023); Gallerie Brieve (Parigi, 2014); Galleria l’Affiche (Milano 2008; 2011); Galleria Il Segno (Roma, 2007); Galleria Beit Ahmad (Aleppo, Siria, 2003; 2005). He has exhibited in many group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Fotografia Festival Internazionale di Roma – XV edizione, Roma, il mondo (MACRO Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma 2016), Ambasciata Italiana in Vietnam (Casa Italia Hanoi e Fine Arts Museum HCMC, 2018), Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Varsavia (2019), Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Cracovia (2020), ARTFEM Women Artists 2 “International Biennial of Macau - “Natura”, Macau (2021). About the painting: The tree-lined avenue that runs alongside the Baths of Caracalla, an image of Rome full of memories, the shadow of the large umbrellas and the foliage of the trees accompany us along the way. Space is the main element of the story, I like to observe the streets as they pass by, and I always imagine them like this, never finished, without a point of arrival. Peruvian Expressionist Oil Painting Miguel Aybar Modernist Latin American Art
Located in Surfside, FL
Dimensions: (Frame) H 28.5" x W 35.5" (Painting) H 22" x W 30" Miguel Ángel Aybar Llauca, an artist specializing in expressionist painting, was born in Huancavelica and lives in the city of Ica where he began drawing from a very young age, drawing from its beautiful valleys and customs. In 1970 he began his studies in Drawing, Painting and Sculpture at the Regional School of Ica. He is a graduate of the National Superior Autonomous School of Fine Arts of Peru (1971-1976) with honorable mention, forming the promotion "Juan Manuel Ugarte Eléspuru". "Iqueño Expressionism" is the title of the exhibition that will be available to the public from May 25 to June 13 in the "Paracas" Room of the "Adolfo Bermúdez Jenkins" Regional Museum of Ica. Av. Ayabaca block 8°. Miguel Angel Aybar is a painter who characterizes expressionism in Ica without a doubt. His songs speak of longing, and secret friendships with the hurango, the palm tree of Huacachina or the silent and still sand of Ica. His work is primarily characterized by color. The contrasts between the intense dark contrasted with the radiance of reds, oranges, yellows or greens, achieve a positive effect on the observer. Its warm tones reach high levels like an Ica sun at noon. However, among those quasi Servulian colors , Andean prints maintain their presence. Hats, ponchos or skirts hidden from a root bound by blood or memories. The perfect textures of his works give him the seal, the personality that characterizes a curdled and experienced Aybar who no longer needs to dialogue with the brush; they just flow, hand and brush. When entering the exhibition hall, you do not need to read the signature, he is an Aybar. There is no room for confusion. Although there are not a few artists from Ica who use these boiling tones, and I translate it as a tribute to that Sérvulo that touches you in the depths of your being, if you are an artist and you live in Ica, you want to be possessed by the ghost of the disturbing Sérvulo Gutiérrez turned legend. Servulus still catches the spectator being absorbed, as if observing a volcano, fearing that it might erupt, but with an inexplicable delight that he stops you next to him and captures you. However, Aybar no longer needs Servulo's shadow, he has gained an important space in the artistic world of Ica. He is an artist and a close friend of poets and musicians. Painter recognized by the Ica society and deserving of all the medals and recognitions by the different institutions. He not only paints with mastery, as Alberto Dávila predicted, when he said that his maturity would give him the position that corresponds to him. He now sings in public to the delight of his closest friends. Ica recognizes him as a son and has given him the place that corresponds to this remarkable painter whom I congratulate. DATA ABOUT THE ARTIST Miguel Angel Aybar Yauca, was born in 1952 in Huancavelica. He has lived in Ica since he was very young; he began his art studies at the Ica Regional School of Fine Arts. He later moved to Lima to study at the National Autonomous School of Fine Arts of Peru from where he graduated in 1976. His teacher Alberto Dávila described him as: a restless, imaginative young man with a sober and dramatic color. His forms acquire poise and great eloquence . Aybar also had the painter Carlos Aitor Castillo...

Over the Valley and Mountain - Impressionist Landscape Vibrant Painting
By Katharina Husslein
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Inspired by paintings created by old masters and the immersive nature she experienced in the Black Forest, German artist Katharina Husslein paints in a representational hyperrealistic manner to capture lively bouquets and saturated landscapes. Husslein’s controlled and smooth still-life floral artworks derive direct inspiration from art history and flower photography. Flowers’ visual and tactile qualities, as well as their associations with love, femininity, and the natural world, have contributed to Husslein's colorful compositions. This one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas measures 39 inches high by 59 inches wide. The artwork is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front. It is signed by Husslein on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. “I create paintings that capture the joy of the moment in time where everything seems quietly perfect and the flowers are in full bloom. A metaphor as old as time, to seize the moment and enjoy it to its fullest extent.” When you look closely at these paintings you will see all kinds of amazing plants arranged together in a vase, some of which may not flower at the same time. The artworks focus more on the colors, lighting, textures, and botanical details which make Husslein's paintings so intriguing. Born in Wertheim, Germany, Husslein grew up in a quaint village surrounded by luscious hills and flowing rivers. To grow her practice and widen her perspective, she left Germany to study art in London, UK. As part of her studies, she lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Australia. Now based in Munich, Germany, Husslein has exhibited her artworks across Europe, gaining collectors internationally.
