An important Islamic Khurasan bronze and silver-inlaid inkwell & cover, Eastern Persia, Circa 1200.
The inkwell of cylindrical form and having a shallow dome top cover with a tall knopped finial and inlaid with a twin band of scrolled silver. The base of the dome and the rim of the cover having bands on interlaced silver inlay, the inkwell having three loop handles.

A diminutive bureau bookcase In two parts, the top having a stepped cornice with twin doors below, the doors having very unusual astragal decoration of neo-classical urns with swags & surmounted with 'Prince of Wales' fleur des lys finials, the doors enclosing three shelves and three short inlaid drawers. The base having an inlaid fall front & oval floral paterae enclosing a fitted interior with six pigeon holes four drawers and a central locking door with shell inlay, the writing surface having a red 'bull's blood' tooled & gilded leather. A large hand-blown early glass vessel by the celebrated Pacific Northwest glass artist, Sonja Blomdahl (b. 1952), signed & numbered, 1980's.
In 1974 Blomdahl got her degree from Massachusetts College of Art & studied under sculptor Dan Dailey. She then trained at the Orrefors glassworks in Sweden, Venetian glass master Checco Ongaro taught Blomdahl the method of double-bubble blowing (or incalmo), of which this large vessel is a great example of.
In 1978, Blomdahl served as a teaching assistant at the Pilchuck Glass School (Stanwood, Washington) she has held teaching positions at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle; Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine; and the Appalachian Center in Smithville, Tennessee. Blomdahl's first solo exhibition was at the Traver Sutton Gallery in Seattle in 1981. She opened her own studio in Seattle in 1983 which remained open until 2009. Since the late 2000s, she has moved beyond the symmetrical glass vessels she is known for and works increasingly with architectural forms.

A large & important pair of rare antique 19th century Indian Polychromed & hand carved stone Dvarpala (temple door guard) statues, circa 1850.
Each statue is hand carved as a male Hindu four armed temple guard, the guards holding a mace (Gada) and one hand on a dagger (Katar), another hand holding a lotus flower to represent spiritual enlightenment. Each guard stands crossed legged on a plinth decorated with an elephant, both statues retaining old and yet brightly colored polychromed decoration, the statues are approximately 3/4 lifesize. They are a true pair facing each other and would have flanked either side of the temple door entrance, they are large and very heavy, each figure weighs about 300lbs.
