Stunning vintage Mid Century Modern coffee table with a black painted wood base & a biomorphic or kidney shaped glass top in the style of Kroehler Pearsall or Tonk. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it had a few nicks & scuffs on the black base so we gave it a fresh coat of black paint. The glass has one very small chip in edge (may be able to be sanded out) & normal scratching on surface for age. What a beautiful biomorphic BEAST!!!! WOW!!! This is a marvelous vintage mid-century modern style coffee table comprised of a black painted wood base and a biomorphic or kidney shaped glass top in the style of Kroehler, Adrian Pearsall, or Tonk Manufacturing Company. This savvy little coffee table certainly took us on a wild goose chase that I’m not sure is completely over! You can find this table all over the internet attributed to Adrian Pearsall. It is NOT designed by him. Of that we are sure. But definitely in his style so it is easy to see where the misattribution comes from. It is also attributed to Valentine Seever, which is not a single person but two last names. And it may have been promoted by them as they were a division of Kroehler Manufacturing Co. It has also been attributed to Tonk Manufacturing Co., best known for their antique piano and organ swiveling stools; but we have not found actual proof of that. My mother (a “veteran” vintage...

This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the top has been refinished. There were a couple spots where the veneer was sanded through right on the edge where the 2 halves come together. They have been filled and colored. There are also a couple scratches that were so deep they can still be seen but not felt. It was given a topcoat of polyurethane. Is there anything as wondrous as being Au Naturel??? When it comes to something as ravishing as this natural walnut table… we think NOT!!! That’s right, this is an enchanting natural walnut conference or dining table with a handsome black powder coated steel tube base featuring a center walnut panel bearing a hint of a Brutalist design with graduating stacked horizontal cut outs, custom made in Lawrence, Kansas by woodworking artist Matthew Jarmer. The base insets and the rectangular top were crafted from locally sourced wood from Topeka, Kansas. Good ‘Ol T-Town!!! Check out that magnificent wood grain!!! It’s simply marvelous!!! The table edges are “semi natural” as there has been some sanding but it’s not completely smooth, some of the uneven natural knotty tones of the wood come through. The center of the table exhibits a unique feature utilizing a beautiful natural split which created an opening that only Mother Nature (and maybe some hand crafted mastery from Mr. Jarmer!) could design. It is convenient for phone and other device cords if you are using it as a conference or worktable, but it would also serve as an INCREDIBLE dining table!! Talk about a BOLD statement piece!! They see me Rollin’….. they LOVIN’ this awesome cart!!!!! Talk about VERSATILE!!! This is an incredible vintage Rustic deliberately distressed wood bookshelf, console table, cart, sofa table, or rolling bar with a lovely inset 12” x 12” vanilla colored ceramic top with convenient and quite FABULOUS new casters with clear polyurethane wheels and black metal brackets! We added the casters thinking they would add character and convenience, and not to “toot our own horn” but… TOOT!!! When you’re right, you’re right!! They are STELLAR!!! The back (or front depending how you use it) bears three vertical stabilizing beams nailed to the horizontal wood slat frame and the top is slightly elevated upon the sides giving the countertop a floating effect. It is SO COOL and I mean seriously… it does EVERYTHING!!! It’s finished all around so it will float beautifully in any room. Use the back as the front and you have a marvelous rolling bar and ample storage space under the inset ceramic top for beverages, glasses, cups, barware, or dishes of your choice. Use it in the dining room, kitchen, or roll it out to the Lanai and serve your guests beverages with eye-catching ease! Magnificent Susan Tibbles life sized 3-diminsional art assemblage titled “Master Lock” framed sculpture in purposefully distressed display case or shadow box. We have an incredible life-sized art assemblage created by renowned designer Susan Tibbles for your viewing pleasure! This piece is titled “Master Lock,” and was custom made and hand crafted by Susan Tibbles in 1989. It is composed of a masterfully sculpted and crafted 3-diminsional woman’s silver negligee, thigh high fish net stockings with lock details on the thigh straps, black spiked stiletto heels, and a silver beaded & spiked neck collar with a ring attached to a full-length chain draping from the collar to a hook at the top of the case. The chain hangs down to the base of the case where it gathers between the spiked heels. SASSY!! Specifically, the Queen chair has one new hand carved finial created by our professional craftsman and all finials have been dyed black as well as the grooves & detail all over the frame of the chairs and the rings and ball details on the legs. ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY KING AND QUEEN!!!! Talk about ABSOLUTE Royalty!!! This is a glorious pair of Gothic Revival Ecclesiastical His & Hers Throne chairs comprised of hand carved oak frames bearing engraved Gothic details, designs, and cutouts including a transcendent triple finial high back presentation worthy of nobility. Each peak is hand carved with designs resembling oak leaves and they have been intricately dyed black… they’re nothing short of fabulous. Because of the maturity of these chairs, we believe that they were probably reupholstered at some point in their lives, and they look marvelous!! They are wearing a beautiful bright cardinal red hopsacking fabric trimmed with gimp and nail head details on the seats and back inserts which also have upholstered backs. The King chair has fabric surrounding the arm rests while the Queen chair has no arms, however it does have attractive side braces. Both thrones have lovely hand carved decorative front aprons with black detail and stand proudly upon turned front legs with black dyed rings & details on casters and square straight slightly curved back legs… I mean, WOW!!!! They’re definitely Ecclesiastical and Gothic Revival but they bear a bit of East Lake Victorian style as well and they are SURE to be quite the conversation piece in your home! They would be fabulous used as host & hostess chairs at your dining table, in a conversation or waiting area, in a home library, at a his & hers dressing area, or facing the fireplace in your den or study. Glorious Late 19th to Early 20th Century Ecclesiastical Religious Art Sacred Heart of Jesus plaster statue sculpture upon a gilded wood base. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, his hands only had the wire structure so new hand-molded & crafted hands were created by our professional craftsmen and the wood on the base was bad so it has been given a new gilded wood base. He has many chips in the plaster that have been repaired and the whole statue has been shellacked. This is an absolutely magnificent Ecclesiastical Religious Art plaster statue of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. He is comprised of hand sculpted and hand painted plaster and he stands about 43 inches tall upon a square flat edge gilded wood base. He has handsome, realistic, intricately hand painted facial features, and his glorious dark brown shoulder length hair drapes gracefully upon his shoulders. He wears a lovely, flowing robe featuring the Sacred Heart symbol upon his chest and his beautiful bare feet are exposed at the base of his robe. His enticing hands are open and reaching out as if to welcome you into his arms. The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most widely practiced Catholic Faith devotions wherein the heart of Jesus Christ is viewed as a symbol of “God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind.” The Sacred Heart is depicted as a flaming heart shining from behind with divine light, pierced by the lance with a bleeding wound, and encircled by the crown of thorns. And Christian faith depicts it more as a flaming heart, while the wounds and crown of thorns allude to the manner of Christ’s passion and the flames a furnace of ardent love. You can depict it how you choose! We believe that his original home was most likely a wonderful old church where he was admired for many years. Due to his materials, he should only be exhibited indoors…. Which is exactly where we all need the Lord to be anyway… on the inside!!! He will be absolutely divine in your entry way or heavenly in a sunroom surrounded by indoor foliage or faux plants & trees.
