I've created sculpture, furniture, drawings, ceramics, and architecture. Through the search of materials and their categorization, I explore the passing of time and the transformation of matter and energy. Some materials come from an immediate context: paper, rocks…some can be identified as rubbish: natural elements, technological waste, objects that have gone beyond their purpose, such as old toys. I work with geometrical figures and architectonical structures. I'm only interested in making things that will age well. I plan for the way materials are transformed by nature, and consider the passing of time as a major part of my work. I believe in nature's advantage over any foreign material. I want to work with materials that won't have a negative impact over time. I defend artisan work and the overoptimistic idea that people can make a living out of it.
