19th Century Estate Sterling Silver Serving English Fiddle Sugar Tongs, 1865

About the Item

A pair of English sterling silver sugar tongs, made by Charles Boyten, London, date marked 1865. The fiddle pattern, spoon form sugar tongs are heavy weight and beautifully made, engraved on the bow with the scrolled initials, ABR. Showing the makers mark CB, and the English hallmarks for sterling silver. Size: 6 inches length x 2 inches wide x .75 inches height Weighing: 1.906 troy ounces. In very good antique condition, with the expected light wear and patina. Lightly polished.
