Extremely Rare Set of 8 Friso Kramer 'theatre' Chairs with Fold Up Seats

About the Item

In 1959 Friso Kramer transformed his 1953 Revolt chair into his absolute masterpiece, the 'theatre" chair, a Revolt chair that was linkable, stackable with a fold up seat for use mainly in theater or conference rooms. This is the model that all Kramer cognoscenti crave. This 'theatre' chair was only produced for 4 years and is extremely rare today, to find a set of 8 matching chairs is really a unique opportunity. It is the ultimate perfection in how a chair should be according to the philosophy of Friso Kramer's designs, form follows function, eliminate all elements in a design that have no function so the user forgets he is sitting on a chair. For shipping the chairs can be stacked, four chairs per stack, which give an overall shipping dimension for all 8 chairs combined of: Measures: 39.375" x 19.7" x height 35.44" 100cm x 50cm x height 90cm.
