A fabulous example of large, Art Deco decorative painting in 1930s Europe, this oil-on-board work depicts the goddess Diana running with two deer from the woods into a field. The colors pale golds and green contrasting with the jet-black deer and lavender flowers falling from the sky are vivid and the painting is full of life. The painting comes from Spain and was painted there or in France. (Dimensions include frame.)
