16th Century Chinese Pottery Figure

About the Item

Ming dynasty pottery figure of a standing woman, likely from the Suzhou region. This is a small figure with a lot of personality, rendered in cream and dark brown. WIth her slightly hunched stance and her hands in the folds of her kimono, a whole attitude is suggested through just a few lines of paint.
