Yumu Wood Chinese 19th Century Chair with Hand-Carved Décor and Lacquered Finish

About the Item

A yumu wood Chinese 19th century accent chair with hand-carved splat, fretwork patterns and lacquered finish. This Chinese carved chair features an arched pierced back, beautifully adorned with a central splat presenting motifs reminiscent of a geometric scale, measuring the weight of an item. Fretwork motifs connect the central cartouche to the outer frame. A rectangular planked seat rests on four straight legs connected to one another through a cross stretcher and a discrete carved skirt. The simple yet elegant silhouette, combined with the dark lacquer of the yumu wood and lovely hand-carved décor, will make this Chinese 19th century accent chair an excellent choice for any home, whether placed in a foyer, living room or bedroom.
