Japanese Antiques Kokukokai Senzan lacquer painting “White Clouds Fuji” framed

About the Item

material: lacquer pain, metal frame with wood box The Kokkokai is a group of maki-e artists formed in 1931 around Matsuda Gonroku, a Living National Treasure and Japan's proud master of lacquer. This is thought to be the work of Murata Senzan, who is said to have been an active member of the group. I have seen his maki-e(lacquer) fountain pens and tea ceremony utensils, but this is the first time I've seen him try his hand at lacquer painting. I hope this will become a rare document. Signed on the main body, with box. *There are some missing parts in the box. Please consider the condition. * Please understand that since it is an old item, there may be stains, creases, folds, and sun damage on the paper.
