He have studied makie under Akatsuka Jitoku, the 8th master of the Edo makie Akatsuka school
He is an unfamiliar and unusual artist.
Beautiful ivy makie arranged in a well-balanced manner
The inside and bottom are finished with Nashiji (fine powder makie)
A "paper box" is a box for storing washi paper used for calligraphy, etc.
The box itself appears to have been made by someone called "宗哉"
The makie is done by "Jiho 自芳".
