About the Item

A high quality cloisonne enamel lidded box attributed to the highly regarded studios of Ando Jubei. Meiji period - the rounded rectangular lidded box worked in musen or wireless enamels brilliantly shaded in the manner of Namikawa Sosuke's iconic Mt fuji scenes on a grayish blue background -silver rims protecting the enamel, the rims stamped with the jungin pure silver mark, the interior lined with brown silk. Size: 10.5 cm Long, H-4.5 cm , W- 8.5 cm In excellent condition commensurate with age, one minor stain/tarnish to the one corner barely noticeable.Refer to photos.
