About the Item

Minimal and refined, these petite bronze cups are simply formed with gently curved sides and a short footed base. The pair dates to the 19th century or earlier and would have been used for drinking tea, rice wine, or opium tea. The small cups are devoid of ornamentation, instead darkened by a burnished patina imparted by the touch of many hands over the years.
