Charming Japanese four-panel byobu screen depicting two blue herons sitting on a willow tree seemingly talking to each other. Ink and color painted on gold paper by Kozui Hitsu signed with one seal on the left side. Made in the Nihonga School style set in a lacquered wood frame with a silk brocade border. Excellent joinery with one loss on bottom as seen in photos.
