About the Item

Tall hand-carved wooden standing Buddha. Beautifully carved and finely detailed. Likely Thai or Burmese. Decorated with lacquer and gilt (please see the gilt offering patches. Very unique and somewhat hard to come by). Would be a great addition to any Asian art collection or an eye-catching accent piece in about any setting. Dimensions: 44" high, 14" wide, 10" deep.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. In good vintage condition with some natural cracking and wear, quite common with wood Buddhas of this age. One arm is missing (please see photos) but we believe this adds to the character and charm of the piece. Really fantastic overall.
