A fine pair of French 19th century Louis XV style gilt-bronze mounted figural chenets. The ornately decorated andirons, each with a figure of a resting Putto (Children) holding a torch flanked by a bird and an allegorical urn with ram-handles and wrapped with a snake, all above a classical shield of a maiden topped with ribbons and a bow, Paris, circa 1880-1890.
