About the Item

19th century terracotta architectural decorative relief of a neoclassical style flaming two handled urn retaining the original red paint. The beautifully realized large scale classical urn shown in deep relief with arabesque handles with bell flowers hanging, egg and dart border, swag drapery tied to two rings, supported by three ball feet. Crowned by a flame, each corner with a raised floret. Quite impressive in scale at 4 feet tall and over 2 feet wide, this sculptural relief will make an impression in any interior, or a wonderful garden decoration. From a facade of a neoclassical style building from the mid to late 19th century. The three panels come apart and rest on top of each other, making it easier to handle and ship.
