19th century cast iron & brass fireplace basket grate. French Styled original victorian free standing fire basket & grate. This Typical French Styled Antique Basket Has A Traditional Blackened Finish With Brass Finials And Decorative Brass Foral Motif. It has splayed out scrolled front legs and a tall decorative fire back with shell detail cast into the iron back. Recently Salvaged From An English Country Manor House. Dimensions Back width 17.5 inches Front width 18.5 inches Back height 25 inches Front height 14.5 inches Depth 10.75 inches.
