Important advantage of this type of fire screen is that, while elegant, you don't really notice it, you just enjoy the fire. It is of a simple yet elegant simplicity. It is beautiful, rustic and classic. It quietly enhances the fireplace's charm. It is present without taking the attention away from the fire and the other fireplace accessories. The black color of this new handmade screen supports this effect.
The holes in the mesh are small enough to protect against the sparks, but large enough to limit the heat radiation of the fireplace as little as possible.
The fireplace screen fits in both a classic and a modern interior.
The functional width to allow the firescreen to stand on its own is at least 88 cm (34") and at most 126 cm (49"). At a width of 88 cm (34") the screen is 33 cm (13.0") deep and at 126 cm (37") wide it is 22 cm (8.7") deep. Each panel is W x H: 33 x 49.5 cm (13.0 x 19.5"). In 1938, the company installed equipment for melting brass and other non-ferrous metals, selling them as Virginia Metalcrafters. In 1953 Charles Eckman purchased the company and formed Virginia Metalcrafters. The E.T. If your chilly winter nights are largely spent warming up by the fireplace, you’re going to need a set of antique or vintage fireplace tools and chimney pots to keep things tidy.
There’s something intrinsically primal yet comforting about having a fire in one’s home. A fire in a fabulous antique fireplace brings warmth, both literal and intangible, to a living room, den or bedroom. On a cold, snowy night, there is nothing quite so satisfying as having a warm cup of mulled wine and watching the flames dance in golden splendor.
Of course, one needs the accompanying accoutrements to keep a fireplace orderly. However, newly minted tools may not match the carefully considered decor and specific furniture style that you had in mind for your space. Fortunately, antique and vintage fireplace tools were so well made that they still work decades later. These pieces also have the added benefit of being quite stylish and elegant in their design so they won’t stand out in a minimalist space.
Andirons keep the logs off the floor of the fireplace so air can better circulate and keep the fire bright. An andiron, importantly, will prevent a burning log from rolling out of a fireplace and keep a fire burning evenly as well as prevent any mess from accumulating.
