Stunning Antique Arts & Crafts Bronzed Strong Box, Firewood Bucket w. Tudor Rose

About the Item

All handcrafted and rare strongbox-design, wrought iron firewood bucket. Only if you were a wealthy person in Europe in the late 1800s, would you be able to afford this large, impressive and all-handcrafted, strongbox-like firewood bucket. This large size, stunning and work of art antique would have graced the interior of a mansion where it would have kept the firewood logs. Where in this day and age can you still purchase a 'bucket' for firewood that is made to last and that could ever stand the test of time like this almost 150 year old antique has. Besides incredibly well made and truly artistic this wrought iron firewood chest could not be more 'green' and durable. We never talk about our antiques that way, but basically we sell the most eco-friendly items on the planet. Simply, because they are almost always made of natural and durable materials and in most cases already more than 100 years ago. The strong and straight lined handles on the sides and the striking Tudor rose symbol in the middle of the lid are just some of the most attractive features you will ever see. The rare Tudor rose gives deeper meaning and besides the quality of the workmanship this one of a kind antique could hardly be in better condition either. Since this sizeable and impressive antique also is clean on the inside, in this day and age it could also be used for all kinds of other, storage purposes. Both handles are as strong and mint as the day they were handforged and thanks to the original two hinges this luxurious home accessory also is safe to open and close as well. So no matter where you decide to place or use this rare antique, it will be a practical antique to use and it will lift the atmosphere of the space it is in like no modern home accessory ever could. Mind you, our fair price for this stunning patina antique even includes perfect packing (in a custom made and strenghtened box) and also free worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days. Maximum width (handles included) x heigh x deptht: 24.5 x 16.4 x 14.5 inches. Maximum width of this stunning chest without the handles: 19.9 inches. We are driven by a passion for uniqueness, timeless, quality, stylish design, and the enduring craftsmanship of the past.
