About the Item
A complete set of horse / equestrian fireplace tools and stand made of solid brass in the style of Maison Jansen. Set includes stand with rectangular base and sunburst detail, tongs, shovel, poker, and brush, all topped with a horse’s head. Complete set of four tools and one stand, total of five pieces. The set is in great shape for its age and for having been used in the past. There is some wear on the base of the stand, this is photographed. There is a good weight to the set so you needn’t worry about it tipping over due to it being cheaply made. This is the real deal vintage set, circa 1950s/1960s. Was purchased by a couple while they were stationed in Europe. The bristles on the broom are natural fiber, I believe boar hair but possibly horse hair which would be fitting.
