About the Item
Mid 20th Century Chinese Chippendale Fireplace Surround & Bookcase by Majestic Arts Inc of New York. Features a pagoda form made from mahogany with reticulated faux bamboo accents. The central panel of the fireplace has a hidden secret compartment. The central panel flips down like a secretary to an illuminated and mirrored compartment. The fireplace surround is flanked by bookcases with shelves. The firebox portion has a hole along the back and was designed for a television. It can be used with a modern electric / decorative fireplace. A new firebox could be added to allow for use with logs.
