Fine Life-size Antique South Asian Bronze Buddha Head Statue
Located in Forney, TX
A most impressive fine quality large antique patinated bronze South Asian Buddha head. Add a touch of relaxed warmth, elegant tranquility and harmony with this rare striking authentic life-size Buddha head. Almost certainly originating as a full-body Buddhist monastery temple statue, dating to the 19th century or earlier, likely Tibetan or Nepalese, finely detailed throughout with special attention to realistic proportions, facial features and serene expression, depicted with slightly angular closed eyes, thin arched eyebrows flanking wisdom eye, elongated pierced ears, and traditional curly snail hair with cranial protuber-ance (ushnisha) rising from the top of the head, indicating his vast wisdom. PROVENANCE / ACQUISITION: Acquired from the highly reputable auction house, J. Garrett Auctioneers, Dallas, Texas. Turtle Creek & Dallas Estates catalog. Garrett was pleased to present the contents of a fine Turtle Creek estate. Property seized from JMJ Development, the Dallas development firm controlled by Tim Barton and set to become the first Mandarin Oriental hotel in Dallas. DIMENSIONS: (approx) 14" Tall, 10" Wide, 8" Deep CONDITION REPORT: Beautifully aged warm rich dark patina. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Wear consistent with age, use, handling and exposure, including scattered oxidation and buildup, small minor holes around the neck from where the neck would have attached to the body. --- We here at Lynx Hollow Antiques have a special fascination with religious antiques, and have an extensive collection, crossing all religions, regions and periods. From Thai Ayutthaya, Burmese, or other Southeast Asian Buddha and Buddhavista figures, ancient Chinese and Japanese carving, relics, important temple or church architectural salvage building elements, early Santos, icons, altar tables, tabernacle, to primitive folk art paintings...

Dedon "Obelisk" Stacking Garden Furniture Group
By Frank Ligthart, DEDON
Located in Hanover, MA
The Obelisk designed by Frank Ligthart for Dedon, 2008. No longer in production. Inspired by the Neolithic menhirs of Carnac in the French region of Brittany it is composed of two pairs of matching high- and low-back lounge chairs and a conical table. The base of the table supports all the chairs when stacked into its sculptural shape for storage. This listing is for one complete Obelisk PLUS a partial set of four chairs and table. Half the fun of owning the obelisk is actually having the obelisk tower on display. Once it is taken down to be used for seating then the giant sculpture is gone. Here we offer you the best of both worlds: a seating group of four chairs as well as the stacked Obelisk sculpture, which you won't need to disassemble until you are completely overrun with guests! The complete Obelisk cosists of two S-chairs, two M-chairs and the cone table. The near-complete additional Obelisk consists of three of the S-chairs and one M-chair plus the table. Price shown is for the complete Obelisk plus the extras. Both sets have brand new cushions. NO FURTHER DISCOUNTS. Image 8 shows the "spare" set which includes 3 "S" chairs (instead of 2) and 1 "M" chair (instead of 2) and one table base. The spare set will not stack to form the obelisk because that requires two of each chair. This is the ultra-chic original space-saving solution for garden, pool or terrace furniture...
