About the Item

A pair of stunning Italian 19th century neo-classical st. giltwood pedestals. Each is raised on four finely carved paw feet below a circular base. The forest green patinated socle is adorned with finely carved giltwood acanthus leaves. The baluster shaped body is accented with a patinated band with giltwood rosettes and large carved palmettes at the base. The top is a patinated platform with an oval carved giltwood border. All original patina and gilt.
