Pair Of German 19th Century Louis XVI St. Dresden Porcelain Planters

About the Item

A stunning and exquisitely detailed pair of German 19th century Louis XVI st. Dresden porcelain planters, signed Dresden. Each circular planter is raised by a mottled edge pedestal and supported by a central fut column with a scrolled capital and surrounded by four graces. The four graces are tastefully adorned in flowing classical garments with their hair tied back while they dance joyfully. Above the column sits the wonderful circular porcelain bowl decorated with palmette designs around the base, interlocking patterns along the edge, and a smooth interior containing a center cap with subtle foliate designs.
