Qty Avail Art Deco Terracotta Statue Christ w/ Alpha + Omega
About the Item
This Art Deco terracotta statue of Christ was reclaimed from the Calvary Baptist Church which was built in 1929 standing at 123 West 57th Street, where Carnegie Hall resides just across the street. The statue is original to when the church was built and stood on the facade of the 16-story building. The church was designed by John Rochester Thomas and was demolished in 2021. Made in three parts which form Christ in front of an arch dome. Christ is portrayed as holding the Scriptures with the letters Alpha and Omega on the front signifying Him as being the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; All in all. Small quantity available at time of posting. Photos show a typical statue. All have minor damages. Please inquire. Priced each. This can be seen at our 400 Gilligan St location in Scranton, PA.
