About the Item

A hand painted trinket dish or vide-poche from Herend Porcelain, circa early 1980s. Founded in 1826, The Herend Porcelain Manufactory is a Hungarian manufacturing company, specializing in luxury hand-painted and gilded porcelain. In the mid-19th century, it was purveyor to the Habsburg dynasty and aristocratic customers throughout Europe. A charming piece, showing hand applied floral decoration on a classic brightly colored and gilded pattern. The dish has an open work body and a flat rim. 4 in. L x 2.75 in. W x 1.25 in. H Marked: Printed and impressed Herend marks and mold numbers. Very good vintage condition.
