About the Item

Late 18th century dresser box with lid made from oak. The lid is banded , and tops the curved box. The box has a lovely shape to it and is constructed in such a way that the bottom of the box is curved into an urn shape, and is resting on a lovely base, with beaded edging and supported on hand turned ball feet. The decoration is hand painted so that it appears the box is inlaid. Charming piece.
