19th Century English Burl Walnut Tunbridge Writing Slope Box

About the Item

A superb antique English burl walnut and ebony inlaid tunbridge writing slope box / lap desk, circa 1870. This handsome box opens to reveal a leather writing surface, pen tray compartment, and the original glass inkwells. The writing surface opens to reveal a secret storage compartment. It would be beautiful for display or added to a collection and would also make a wonderful gift. DIMENSIONS 11.75ʺW × 8.75ʺD × 6.5ʺH
