About the Item

A lovely 19th century oak lidded-top table chest with hand carved leaf scrolls and roundel carvings, having swivel carrying handles to the sides. The chest has a rustic charm and shows wonderful patina, especially to the top. The base is made of pine, and the interior base has been recently lined with baize. The lid open and closes well. The catalogue is A4 size for comparison. Additional dimensions information: Internal measurements are 23.5cm wide x 18cm deep x 13cm high. Delivery included to the UK.

Antique Georgian oak chest on stand with two drawers of handsome proportions. Circa 1750. *Free delivery for all areas in mainland England & Wales only. The chest has handmade dovetail construction, with a shaped apron below the two drawers, standing on squat cabriole legs and a pad foot. Made in two sections. The chest interior is 87cm wide x 45cm deep x 30cm high. Condition report - With the original patina and brass wear. There are some knocks and marks expected with a piece of this age. The beading on the drawers has some damage. The top has some polish loss in one place, you should be able to make this out in the photographs.
