About the Item

Beautifully made vintage steer horn box by Anthony Redmile. With polished horn body and hand hammered nickle plated brass mounts. The top with an inset framed opal. Signed on bottom 'Redmile Objects, 73 Pimlico Road, London. Anthony Redmile was one of the leading eccentric designers in art objects of the mid-20th century, his pieces soon became sought after by many collectors and remain so half a century later. Redmile burst into the London interior design scene in the 1960s, producing some of the most eclectic items for his illustrious clients. The materials he used in his objects and furniture were inspired by the natural world.
