About the Item
925/1000 Sterling silver cigarette case with hand-painted fired enamelled floral miniatures inserted in frames with hand-engraved borders, above and below. Jugendstil. Spring-loaded snap opening with button and “lost” hinge, ie semi-invisible. Measure cm. 6,7 x 11,3 x 1,5 Weight gr. 248- Designed by Franco Salimbeni and performed in Florence in 1977 at the Salimbeni company headquarters with manual processing by skilled artisan artists with thick slabs and large reinforcements suitable for supporting numerous high-fire enamelling firings at about 800 ° C.
It is a new object that has never been used but is considered vintage because it was built more than 20 years ago.
