1860s English Tea Box on Stand

About the Item

Late 19th-century English-imported tea box from China. Decorated with beautiful red and black hand-painted flora and fauna, and equipped with rectangular iron handles, the box is mounted on an ebonized wood base with handprinted decoration and a central X-shaped stretcher. Time and wear has made the colors both softer and richer. England, 1860 Dimensions: 18.5W x 13.5D x 31H
